found at a campsite with civil war bullets, nonmagnetic,green patena. Looks like a trigger mechinism. site from 1865.maybe from a Spencer rifle.

Green and non magnetic sounds like brass to me, which would be too soft and would wear out.

First thought is that it might be part of a powder flask lever. Not sure, but looking for a match.
