Is this a drawer pull with a strange troll on top.

I found this in the middle of a larger parcel of timber 6+ inches down. Its in a strange place to find a drawer pull so I was wondering if its something else? Nothing on back. Thanks

Nice find! I think you have it upside down - I looks like quite an old drawer pull. I'm not any where near an expert but I had one similar once that I sold to this company and they liked it a lot and said it was old and special. They used it as a form to make some of their reproductions.
