I found this in Michigan today- It’s 18mm diameter and 1.5g.
It looks like a King Edward I long Cross.
On my equinox it rang up as a 12-13 or so.
It’s thin- I looked on a lap top microscope and it’s scratched like a coin, sounds like a coin.
How can I find out if it’s real or fake?

It looks cast, but I can't tell for sure.

How can you tell- It’s got a double die thing going on.
I have a microscope. The edge is not flat- it’s almost pointed and inconsistent

Being from Ann Arbor thats an awesome find I hope it is real its hard to tell not having it in hand hope some one can help you Im sure they will. Its about time a Mgander got a sweet coin like that...............Tommy

Never seen CIVI/TAS/DEN/RIC(G)H before. Hopefully an expert on medievals stops by. Great find though:icon_thumright:

I’d say see your local LCS for an appraisal. Are shops even open in MI?
