Hello, The river I am in, are almost dried out. And it contains alot of stones like the one on the picture... rust! :P

Is this a good sign ?

IMHO, you have iron in the rock, I'm not knowledgable enough to tell you if gold has been found in the arctic circle before or not. Start with a pan, couple shovels, couple buckets, couple classifiers, and some time and energy and you'll know more than a couple rocks could tell you.

Thanks, Im using a metal detector to tell the mineralization in the ground. Hope this goes as planned
