Is this a letter rack?

Hi all,

I feel like this may be a letter rack of some kind? It's made of plastic and has numbers under each space. Can anyone help confirm for me please?

It is about 25cm long and the spaces in between are about 2mm wide. There are no makers marks - the only stamp says 'made in England'.

Looks like a rack for putting received mail into, bills, letters, etc. I would have said the numbers were dates that the bills in that slot were due on but there looks to be way more than 31 slots there.

I just checked eBay to see if they have any value. To me they are scrap metal but some of them have sold between $6 to $20 Here are 2 examples.



EDIT: I dont recall seeing a plastic one. Is yours about the size of these?

i just googled 25cm and thats only about 10 inches so maybe its something else. Get an old 45 record somewhere and see how it fits.
