Is this a meteorite?

[Timberwolf]

My step brother Keith found this.
It is pretty heavy, but a magnet does not stick to it.
It's hard to tell the size from these pics, but it is about 3" x 4".

He took it to a jeweler, and they said that it was was a meteorite.
We are not sure....what do you think?

If it is, where is the best place to sell it?
Thanks in advance,

Timberwolf

Looks like one! Let us know! Good Luck!

So far it looks like it is not a meteorite......it fails the magnet test.

Oh come on timberwolf, you know what that is! I use to get them every year in my Christmas stocking. A lump of coal! On alternate years I got a sack of switches! One year I got candy and a toy. I thought my parents didn't love me anymore! Wish it was a meteorite though, but the way it is layered makes me think it isn't. Keep at it , you'll get one some day. Monty

Thanks Monty,

I'm just a tired old wolf....I don't know if my ship will ever come in.
But if it does, I'm taking you and yours out for dinner!
