IS THIS A METEORITE?!

I found this unusual redish rock looking thing, and I thought I should test it with a magnet. I was sure the chances were low that It would stick, but it does right on! What do you all think? Is is a meteorite?

Pictures are not very clear but it looks certainly possible. Is it highly magnetic? Does the surface look "melted"?
