✅ SOLVED Is this a military relic or not?

I dug this 1 3/4" diameter piece (brass? copper?) at an old homesite in SC. It has a flat machined screw about long 3/4" on the back, and looks like it could be a pin from a military hat. It has a relatively standard eagle with shield, arrows, etc. and "E Pluribus Unum" on the front. Photos show an old dime (not penny) for comparison. I am assuming it dates to the mid to late 20th century - there were no civil war engagements nearby the site, but there may have been troop movements... The area is not anywhere near any ciIt's my first non-coin piece.

I was about to reply and then scrolled down ad saw that ffuries already got it. It's surely been through the wringer, but still a neat find.
