is this a mint error or after mint tomfoolery 1995 kennedy half

Rather odd marks..anyone see anything like that before? I was thinking it might be some placement holders marks or something along that line if it was done at the mint. The coin is the normal silver color - it just looks gold in the photos.

I don't believe the date is spread out. That's the way the dates on Kennedy halves are struck. I also don't think it's a reproduction.

I have to agree it looks like post-mint damage. Someone had a hammer and a tool of some sort with an oddly-shaped tip on it.
