This looks like a 1925 or 1929 buffalo head nickel with a wheat penny stamped on back you can see the smaller stamp of the penny on back found today

looks like you found an old magic coin. the back of the nickel was milled out so the penny could fit into it
 
Your find and Squattys find up above, look similar to me

I'm oldern' dirt, thought I'd seen it all but that's new to me...I like it!
 
Oh man...I would have lost it seeing that come out the hole, Im guessing its an Older magicians coin?
 
Possibly a mule. Have a dealer take a look.
 
It clearly looks like a magicians coin... See the outer rim of the penny sits snug in the shell of the Nickel... Cool thing about yours is, it uses old coins, don't see the older ones often... Cool Find !!

Thanks everyone this why I like detecting never know what your gonna find also found two dimes 1920 1923 some wheats and a few items still researching was a good day thanks again rich
