Solution
Definitely chert family. Looks like jasper with some translucency mixed in: chalcedony and/or agate.
I bet it will be gorgeous once slabbed.
I see a small amount of banding. I think it could be. From N IL it would be glacial till material brought down from Canada. Agate is rare in the till around here but it exists. I’m in Central IL and hunt the till a lot. I’ve only found one agate in 40 yrs of hunting. Here’s a pic. Cut a slab with a diamond saw and see what it looks like.

Very nice. I am a fan of jasper. There are so many variations of color, swirls, etc.

Those are both really nice. You never know what you’ll find in the glacial till.
