Headed out early this morning to several old foundations all on the same piece of property. I'm finding relics dated from the 1700's up to about 1930's, possibly 1950's? I understand the rivet is from a knapsack dated back to the civil war from the Union said? My metal detector goes crazy as there are so many nails. The Morse No 1 plate might be the inside of an 8 day clock or Morse code, I'm clueless? Digging is like fishing, you might dig all day & not have any luck, then again you might catch "the big one?" Regardless, if you love it, it's always a good time!! 🥰

Sorry, I meant Union side.

Sorry, rock not an artifact, just a sharp rock, the other artifacts are nice...

Thank you, I've never found an arrowhead so I wasn't sure. I know they are out here as I live along the Mohawk & Walloomsac River, it's a popular area for magnet fishing. After they plow the fields folks go out & find tons of arrowheads, I've not been that lucky, but I'm hopeful. 🤞🤞

Like RJ said, it shows no signs of being worked, so I agree it's just a rock. But you have some great other finds there, love the pipe pieces and purse clasps (where are the coins????) :laughing7:

Cool stuff!
That arrow head is not, from what I see. I give it a kinda/maybe vote…!
Even an unifacial point would have edge preparation no matter what knapping technique was used.
