I find pieces like this fairly often in/around the creek on our property in southern Mid Tennessee. Usually just throw them aside but always wonder about them since they’re nearly always so precise. Thanks for any help!

I'm in Franklin, unfortunately I don't know much about rocks but if you'd like to know if there was additional human activity I'd be happy to come down and run the metal detector around.
If you continue to find them I'd say it's time to start a rock garden.
