I'm living in West Germany now, not far from Ramstein Air Base, and I went out for a hunt tonight. I pulled this flat button out of a field and was hoping someone would recognize it. It has a crown on the top of it, looks to be three canons on the bottom and possibly a fort in the background? I only washed it off with water. I didn't want to chance damaging it any further. The back has english writing that says "EXTRA F___" I assume it's referring to the gilting like many of the buttons I've found back in the states. The button is roughly the size of a U.S Quarter. Does anyone recognize this button? Know who wore it, and approximate age? Your help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Happy Hunting!

Looks more like a crown above an old locomotive to me. :dontknow:

Could be...Can't find anything relating to royal locomotive buttons though. It does look like the "canons" are connected through the wheels though. I didn't notice that until you mentioned it. I'll keep digging...Hopefully someone else will help chime in. Thanks for looking and opening my eyes.
