Is this an old lead pocket knife? If so, age? If not, what is it??

I honestly don't even remember when or where this was found. It looks to me like a lead outside and slots where the blades would have gone (the rusted pieces in the pics). Can you guys add any input if it is a pocket knife, and if so, how old it could be? And if it's not a pocket knife, what the heck is it?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

I'm guessing pot metal aka white metal - not lead.

Pot metal was cheap and popular in the early to mid part of the 20th C.

Weren't most men switching to "safety razors" by the 1930's? :dontknow:

Lead is just too soft for that purpose... IMO.

So it's looking like some kind of pot/white metal straight razor? I glanced at some straight razors online, and most seem to have a small slot at the bottom for a bit of the blade.

Truthfully, it doesn't look like either, pocket knife or razor.

I'm with DCM as a proper identification. Corroded white metal it does appear to be in the picture. Still not 100% sure to what it actually is - pocket knife, razor :dontknow:

Where would the pivot point be for the blades or razor to pivot on?Also wouldn't you see evidence of the blade metal on the back.If not how was it put together?Very strange piece.
