I found this while metal detecting. I was told it may be a hide scrapper, or whats left of one.

It's kind of hard to tell, they would sometimes use a large flake without much chipping done to it. Is there any real polish or wear in any certain place ? Then it could be a tool of some type or maybe just a large chip from making something else.
 
I would say that this is just a natural hunk of flint.
