Is this buckle for horses or humans?

Hi everyone. I found this buckle last Sunday and was wondering what it might go to and its possible age?
Is it for horses or humans?

It looks like a buckle from a saddle, and a large one at that... but I have been wrong before. Wait until someone else chimes in.

Sorry for not giving a better way to judge the size. Its a little smaller than the one i wear every day and it looks like something i would use but i was thinking horse as well. here is a better picture of it in comparison to what i wear.

I looked a bit larger in your hand... too large for a person, however, next to the other buckle, it appears to be the correct size for a person.

Hopefully someone will stumble along and make a better ID than I can.
