Could I get some advice on this coin 1547889611255.webp

Welcome to the forum! It's a large date. If you're looking for the small date copper Denver mint don't bother, and ignore those idiots that post YouTube videos. Most of them don't have a clue!

simple check- small date 8 is like a snowman, small circle over large circle. plus the 2 has a curved slope downward.
small date D's will weigh 2.5 grams....................EXCEPT!!!!!!!!!!, nah, fuggett it-- yer not gonna find a 3.1:BangHead:

Funny you should write that because I had and may still have several rolls of 1982-P and 1982-D Lincoln Memorial Cents that I purchased to search for Varieties and Errors and I remember finding one Cent that was different than the 7 Varieties that were known at the time. I really need to go on a scavenge hunt in my' house and see if I can find those Cent rolls.:BangHead:

So what you are telling me is that their isn't any small date Denver mint 3.1 gram 1982 Penny's minted that year.if so only one or two got out to the public.

This is correct. Only 1(?) has surfaced in 36 years so it appears there was one (maybe more?) produced accidentally.

822.webpguys, this is what the mint sent to you in 1982, are you saying there are 2 now, have had this for many years

Only one small date 1982 D copper has been found.

Yes. That's why it's worth so much. YouTube doesn't bother to tell you that! They just want you to come back for more click bait. If you want to know about coin facts, just bring your questions here!

Might of known that there would be some unscrupulous folks out there that would try to cash in on the hype of the sale of the first and only 1982-D "Small Date" Copper Lincoln Memorial Cent specimen found so far by posting Ads for a 1982-D "Large Date" Copper Lincoln Memorial Cent with a lot of BS hype. $11,395 for a coin that at best, should not even fetch more than $0.50 at auction.:BangHead:

Or how about this 1982-P "Small Date" Copper Lincoln Memorial Cent for $25,000!!??

If anyone on here is a member of Etsy, I would hope you would report these two and anymore you can find.

What would a 2988 doubled die be worth

2988??? Did you bring one back from the future?

We would really need to see images because condition and which variety makes a big difference.

Hard to tell without a clear closeup of the date to confirm. Only 1 variety listed at varietyvista.com LINK .

But I don't really see anything on the date to convince me it's that one.
(ps. you really should have started a new thread for this coin.)

I'm not seeing any doubling. Only plating issues.
