I found this with my detector this morning on the beach opposite the cabin wreck. What you think?

I'm going to take it to the Mel Fisher Museum in Sebastian tomorrow and have them take a look at it.
 

It looks a lot like the melted pieces of aluminum I find quite often around camp fires along the lake. Is it heavy or light for it's size?

It may just be a melted reale beer can...then again, very possibly a reale reale.

That was my first thought but it does look a little more silver than not, although can't see it being a coin.(unless melted)
 

Well, if you look at some pictures of cob coins, they can be pretty irregular around the edges. I guess I'll find out tomorrow...

They are irregular because they have been cut to weight/size, yours has curves.
