Early 20th C carved meerschaum pipe with tortoise mouthpiece.

Any clue about the face? Female? What kind of head dress is that? Feathers? Flowers?

Very cool piece. I'd smoke it.

Do not touch the bowl with your bare fingers. It will absorb oil and discolor.

It's weird. Looking at the side view it looks pretty well defined. But looking at the full face it looks unfinished, especially the hat or bonnet area. When you compare it to other pipes like this, they all have incredibly intricate carving. I see it has a few chips too.
