Is This Why FORD Needs Money From The American Taxpayer , So They Can Build Plants In Other Countries, As Do G.M. & Chrysler


This is a video of a new Ford plant in Brazil .
One look at this and you will be able to tell why there will probably
never be another one built in the U.S.A .
It will also point out why more assembly plants will go offshore.

GM is the one in the direst of straights followed by Chrysler.

Now that they are bailed out we can all buy a new car! Oh wait, they did not give us the money they gave it to the car manufacturers. And the rest they gave to the banks. I see a pattern here!

The cars coming from overseas are so much cheaper
Maybe in a few years they would be sending us Disposable cars.

Drive them for 2 years, till the tanks empty then stop at Wallmart & pick up a new one
for $300

Seriously though, with all the vehicles already in this country,
The dealerships and Used Car lots are full.
Why do people feel they have to buy or lease a new car everytime their
ashtray gets full, or their tires need air ?

I say Drive what is already here.
If it breaks give the Mechanics

Worked at a dealership for 20+ years, never once bought a brand new car. I always
bought the stuff that would usually go to a wholesaler(high mileage,the stuff you see
at those corner used car lots) .

The last one I bought (for 600 bux) I still drive, a 96 Plymouth Voyager with 150,000
miles that although starting to look a little ratty, runs and drives just fine. (admittedly it
helps that I`m a tech)

What sickened me the most all those years, was how they (being the big 3,Ford especially)
would target kids fresh out of high school, honing in on young people with phrases like "your
a legal adult now, you don't need your parents advice or permission" and others very similar.

There`s hundreds of valid reasons these companies should not get any more help, the biggest
being the that they actually failed many years ago, on so many different levels.

Just think of this,its very possible those 3 flights to Washington a few weeks back, burned up more fuel
than all the hybrids in the world today, could burn in a hundred years, our tax dollars at work folks.

I also find it rather interesting how the UAW and their employers are at each others throats for years
and suddenly can stand shoulder-to-shoulder in an attempt to save their butts.

I say do not give them the money. This is made out like they are the only companies to ever fail!

My car is a 97...paid $4,000 for it in 2000...has over 100 thousand miles now and still (knock on wood) runs like a charm. Mercury Cougar Station Wagon...LOVE IT!

Our Van is a 97 Dodge Caravan...it was a rental, then put on the market for sale....can't remember what we paid for that.

Both of those were bought at dealerships.

The last vehicle hubby bought almost a year ago from a guy at work....a 97 Dodge Ram (think it's a Ram)...anyways, he paid $3500 for it....we drive that baby everywhere (camping, family trips, boy scouts).

I have never, nor has hubby, bought a brand new car and I don't think I will. Why should I...there's lots of great cars out there to buy for decent prices and I don't need to impress anyone with what type of vehicle I drive!

Hubby just realized the other night, all of our vechicles were '97...

Both the truck and station wagon were bought with cash, the van we financed. All paid for in full!

If companies STOP moving out of country....we would have more jobs for the folks at home!!! Big companies have taken away the Mom and Pops too!....PROGRESS MY TUSH!!!

If we fail, we have the choice of losing it, or filing bankruptcy....they can do the same!

last was bought for $20K in 88. People are asking me all the time "When are
you going to get something new?' Maybe I will if I could find one superior to
my 88 Toyota Landcruiser. It's got almost 90,000 miles on it which were all
driven by me. It looks the same as when I bought it, drives the same, will
climb mountains with ease and holds all the gear I need for treasure hunts
and never goes to the shop except for normal upkeep. I figure it will last me
at least another 20 years.
