The fire dept held their Annual carnival July, 2,3,and 4. They always have a dime toss game and I stopped by today to see what I could find. When I finished I dumped my pouch in the front floor of the truck as I wanted it empty when I detected a school on the way home. Looking at the dirt on my clean mat I noticed a dime that didn’t look quite right. Picked it up and discovered a nice 1944 merc. I was two years old when it was made!
WAHOO! first silver after nearly three years of detecting.

Congrats on your first silver! Cool that it's a merc!

Congrats on your first silver coin!

Congrats on your first silver, looks like you had a good time

That's just wonderful! Congrats to you and may this be the beginning of many more silvers to come your way.:headbang:

you wont never be the same now

Dang, you've had to dig along time for that silver. Congrats, I know you must be stoked! :headbang: Enjoy the high, it's one of the things I enjoy about this hobby. Now that you broke the ice, I see more silvers coming soon.

Now it begins, break the silver ice and it will start flowing!

Keep your first in a nice case. 2 years is a long time do a lot of research old news papers look for old sledding hills campsites ball parks. My detector would be logged in a tree, like my golf clubs were,. We all need a bone once in a while Keep at it more will come!!!!!!!!!!!! Historic Aerial, is good also.
