Diggin duo here,
We went out To a favorite park and my daughter called me over shaking. She said she think she found a gold coin!! Well, it is a gold coin however it was made into a pendant as you can see from the break off point. Still, An amazing find, so proud of her and it figures she would find a hold coin before me. 7BCE0F1A-7DB2-404C-BD56-1CCCCE52ABAF.webp66CFA3D3-149D-4A6B-ABA6-E8D0F852B58D.webp

Very interesting coin find! Congratualtions to you both! :occasion14:

I think that is a Turkish coin. Put that thing in lemon juice for 5 min. and it will probably look a lot better. Gary

Congrats. Nice find. Gold coin is still on my bucket list.

Wow that's awesome! A big congratulations to your daughter! A jeweler could solder another bail on that and she could wear it proudly.

Banner find in my book congrats to your Daughter

That's such an awesome park find. :icon_thumright: Big congrats to your daughter.

Yes, after researching i also found the same answer. Maybe from the late 1800's , thanks for your help

That counts! Awesome find!

Yes, the coin is Turkish though I can't authentic it being real or a replica. The coin is from the realm of Abdul Hamid II, Sultanate of Turkey. The coin is dated AH1293 (1876AD) representing the first year of that Sultanate's rule. To determine the exact year of the coin, subsequent years are counted by small Islamic numerals on the other (tughra) side of the coin. The OP's coin is dated AH1293/20; or AH1313=~ 1896 AD.
Don.....

You two make a deadly pair in those parks and I enjoy your videos. I havent watched the newest one yet. You should title this a spoiler alert! Great find made by her.
