Tough to find new sites this time of year so a friend and I spent a couple hunts walking ground of a few sites I hunted years ago. Any old results as far as I'm concerned is a good result.

Pic 1 the odds and ends. - 3 crusty coppers, buttons, silver picture frame, 2 musket balls, jews harp, brass tacks, 57 base enfield bullet, buckle, scabbard tip, and another couple other misc things.

Pic 2 - Mid. 1700s French Colonial Marines button

Pic 3 - Two early British San Joseph Navy buttons. This ship was seized from the Spanish in the battle of Cape St. Vincent Feb. 14th, 1797. http://www.britishbattles.com/waterloo/cape-st-vincent.htm

Better day than I had yesterday :)

Looks like the amount of buttons we get in our fields. Must be a good site!

Just bits and pieces from different sites we hunted in the past. Enough targets to make it worth while.

There you go again on finding those early military buttons. They are just simply amazing.

If you could be so kind, what are the coppas?

Kyle

I wouldn't know how to act with a group of find's like that IP.......on second thought, yeah I would :tongue3: Excellent Haul, love the old Navy buton's!!

Nice haul!!!
I like how you barely even mention the scabbard tip.
That piece alone would make my day!

It wouldn't surprize me if ysomeone on here didn't find Noah's Ark LOL you guys sure do the research and know your areas!! Very nice assorment of artifacts! You guys should become archioligist if you aren't already,,,,, HH Tom

What a great day indeed. The musket balls alone would qualify as a succesfull day in my book. You had an awesome day, looks like one of those sites you dream about and can only imagine the goodies that await.

Canadian lg cent and a couple early 1800s tokens. One is an irish type, the other a Geo. III/Britannia. Both are in sad condition.

I seem to have good and bad periods when it comes to decent coins but I have always popped the buttons.

Iron Patch,

I love your style of hunting, dude! You look sexy in that costume, but the only thing I have to say is, "Put some damn socks on!" :D

Keep on searching with that passion of yours!
