and 50% Or more won't Stoop to be seen Chasing after their dropped change.
It's too much of an Embarrassment & Waste of Their Time !

But in 1872...

This was Not only a Big Deal to The Woman, & The Store Keeper
It made the Papers.

That's because a penny could actually buy something.I remember a little cartoon of a little kid in a turn of the century grocers,1900s.The kid was reading a long list of groceries his mother sent him To the grocers for. After reading the long list the kid then says ,"my mom says I can spend the rest of the dollar on candy".

Getting back to the title of the thread, At least three times I have found three quarters in one spot. One of the times ( and it still amazes me) they were still stacked together. Another time in a three foot area, I found seven quarters. I don't know how this happens, but I like it.

Yep ! That's why I Used the 3 Quarters Description :icon_thumright:

this past Summer I went to a Ball field, and at least 3 Times in a Row,
I dug 2 Quarters from each hole.

a Soda Must have cost 50 Cents or a Buck-50 & rather then stick the coins in their pockets,
they just open their hand and Litter them

Other possibility Sit down Stack them in the Grass Then
Forget them.

Heck, IF I or the Counter person Drops my Penny at the Register,
I'll get on my Knees & Start looking under the Counter if Necessary.
Even if it were on a Day like Today (Black Friday type Crowds)

I'm not that Wasteful, as to Not Care !

I think a lot of the multiple coin drops are from people sitting in the grass and their pockets empty.Same reason on playgrounds under swings and monkey bars upside down or sitting with knees up equals pockets emptying.

Once I found about five dollars in quarters....Maybe there was a stand at that place, the stand fell and it was getting dark...The person could not find all the coins. That is my take on that great find back the early 2005...I guess that was the year.

A little different but I found 1.75 in quarters in a vending machine the other day... I don't see how someone forgets seven twenty-five cent pieces.
