It's true, my little girl finally spoke up and said that she wanted to go metal detecting (instead of me dragging her along). So I rounded up my old Bounty from a friend that had been learning the hobby this summer and off to the school we went. She did good for the first time although I had to help start the digging. She ended up with 3 quarters, 1 dime and a couple of pennies! Oh, 1 pull tab too.

Soon we'll be out in a competition hunt to see who can get the most! ;D

Way To Go!!!!! Excellent job on getting those coins. Continued Success and Happy Hunting.

Ahh Yes,

After about 8 months my wife got tired of watching. So I started letting her try my ace. Then she wouldn't give it back...then she wanted to dig my targets and "see" the detector for an hour at a time, so I got her an Ace 250 to match mine at the time. Since then she hasn't put it down and has made some amazing finds.
I used to smoke cigs but shook that habbit eight years ago...I think NO ONE can shake the treasure bug!
Congrats on hookin the daughter!

Nice job....She did a heck of a lot better than I did my first time out...Give her my Congrats...A great hobby with the side benefit of picking up some extra spending/saving money...

:D :D :D

Yes, she said she needed a pair, and with the temps cooling down and won't take much to get her fingers cold.

Congrats on your new hunting buddy!! I hope she smokes them out there with her future finds!!!

I am still waiting for my boys to say those words to me!!! :'( ... even though we got the oldest an Ace 150 a couple of years ago!

Have fun and hope you two make some wonderful memories together!

YIS & YIMD,
Annmarie

I picked up a little kids bounty hunter at a garage sale just last week. I might be jumping the gun a little, as my daughter isn't even born yet :)

Congrats on your new hunting buddy!

Regards,
Jules

I certainly know how awesome a feeling it is when they actually ask to go - give her a big congrats on her finds and many more happy hunts to the new "team"...

Congratulations!

My kids just hold their right hand to their heads with the index finger pointed up, and the thumb extended out everytime I ask them to go with me.
