Since we got a ton of rain on Monday I wasn't able to do any fencing or dirt moving so I figured I'd see if there was more to find at my spot.......and yes, there was. Pretty much all Archaic aged stuff except for the 3 3/8" Allen point with the base missing. The patinated drill is 2" long. 20190903_163049.jpg20190903_163104.jpg20190903_163120.jpg20190903_163134.jpg20190903_163148.jpg20190903_163203.jpg20190903_163217.jpg20190903_163231.jpg20190903_163329.jpg20190903_163310.jpg20190903_163255.jpg20190903_163411.jpg20190903_163356.jpg20190903_163342.jpg

Wow is rite .... some really great finds , that Allen is a heartbreaker with some beautiful flaking maybe the rest will turn up. I love the material making it west and finding a nice point made from it is on my bucket list.

Good stuff!! I really like that material. I find white, white, and more white.

That was an exceptional day!

That, looks like it was a great hunt! The insitu of you points reminds me of very similar hunting conditions to the area I hunt, it's so much easier when there isn't vegetation in the way haha!

Nice finds and beautiful material.
Have you considered Angostura as a possible type for your obliquely flaked paleo piece?
Thanks KBP! I was thinking Angostura at first but it's way too thin for one. The Angosturas we find up here are usually quite thick with a noticable median ridge. I've got a site a few miles north of where I found this one where I found 3 or 4 Allen looking bases with hints of oblique flaking.

Hopefully you eventually find the base in the same area, then you will know for sure what it is.
