I could see the blackbirds panting. Unfortunately the pics didn't turn out very good. But I did get a few others yesterday.

Right now it's 56° outside here. I see crows and ravens pant when it really hot out. In the desert you'll see one sitting on every other fence post along the road with their beaks open. What I believe they're doing is catching a breeze kicked up from the vehicles cruising down the highway. Those birds definitely have thinking brains.
