It's a Brick...Howwsse. One I.H. Today
Today I got more coal oil tags, some relic stuff, and an 1880's or 1890's Indian Head (can't tell yet). Maybe 1888. All I've done to it is Dawn & water and a soft toothbrush.
I found another piece of the "WILL RE..." sign / placard thing. It reminds me of little frame things I've seen in graveyards. Any help on what it is appreciated. I'm in the front yard of this 1850's brick Greek Revival farmhouse; I don't think they buried anyone in front of the house.
Here are pics of all the stuff I've dug at this place except the Rosette with the star pattern that I posted in What Is It? a few days back. I'll put a pic of that at the end.
The Pabst thing looked like a lighter case at first, not sure now. It says "World's Greatest Beer" or somesuch on the back. Shoot, when I was a Stroh's drinker, we'd say, "I sent some PBR off to a chemist; he wrote back that my horse has kidney trouble".
The ring is iron or brass or something. Stone was missing, mounting crown a bit crunched.
Previous days' 'good' coins were 1941 and 1917 wheats and no-date Buffalo nickel. Found a smaller rosette thing today, too.
The coal oil "tags" are, I think, inner cap liners from containers of coal oil. I've found many of the "Genuine OLGA Pocahontas" ones. Last time there, I found one that says "Liggett Golden Glow [trade mark]". Today I found a heart-shaped one that says "Great Heart - A Peabody Product". They're thin tin.
I'm having fun with this site.
