Spanish American War? Just because of the hat. Rough Riders.

Makes sense! Was was guessing based on the patina/condition that it was about 100 years old. Hoping to get any info on possible manufacturer. Thanks for your post!

I was thinking the same thing too!

cool find for sure

I believe it might fit into the Podfoot category made by the Barclay / Manoli toy company. The company operated after WWII out of New Jersey.

Thanks for the post--I learned something with the term "pod-foot". Just looked it up and don't believe it's a pod-foot as it'd on a square base (no pods on the feet :laughing7:). Here's an example of a pod-foot.

Your version of the podfoot is correct. I have found a few of them
The full base was also made during the same time period of production.

Maybe a passenger on "The Crystal Ship" If not, someone will "Light My Fire" because "People Are Strange"! :laughing7:

Very neat find. I like those toy soldiers.

Cool vintage toy soldier find!

Hey Erik! I believe your soldier is listed as AS1 (Shoulder Arms) made by the American Soldier Company located in Brooklyn, New York. Yours dates between 1906-1920ish. He is definitely a depiction of the "rough rider" era soldier. Cheers, Sub 8-)
