Greetings Diggers,

Shoe buckles are one of my most favorite things to find when I'm out detecting in the woods. They are beautiful relics that, for me, perfectly represent our colonial history in New England. Today I was fortunate to find an intact shoe buckle while out for a three hour hunt. That's # 3 for the year.

I also managed to find a small tack buckle, two buttons, and a very toasted wheatie

Not a bad day! Thanks for looking, and HH!

Nice one. I have yet to find even the frame of one of those big late 18th century buckles

Very nice good work.
I have several nice ones but they are few and far between. One of my most sought after finds.

Beautiful buckle...congrats! :occasion14:

Congrats on the beautiful buckle. I hope to have the chance to find one some day.

Very nice complete shoe buckle. The one's I've found here in Virginia are always missing the chape & tongue - all I have are the buckle frames.

Very nice id love to see them all together ive never even dug one shoe buckle.
