Spring does not officially arrive until Friday, but it's going to make a guest appearance early this week, with temperatures rising to 70 degrees on Tuesday.
Channel 4 meteorologist Craig Koplien offers this forecast:
Monday: Partly cloudy early, then becoming sunny and warm. A high of 50 is expected near the lakefront with 60 degrees inland. Southeast winds will be 7 to 14 mph.
Monday night: Clear with a low of 42 is expected. South winds will be 4 to 8 mph.
Tuesday: It will be sunny, breezy and warmer with a high of 70 degrees. The record high for March 17 is 73 degrees in 1966, Koplien notes. Southwest winds of 12 to 25 mph are expected.
Tuesday night: Mostly cloudy with a chance of scattered showers and a low of 43 is in the forecast. Expect a low of 43 degrees.
Wednesday: It will be cooler with a high of 52 degrees. Mostly cloudy skies come with a chance of showers in the morning. It will then become partly cloudy in the afternoon.
