It's not a coin, but what is it?

This has HJR on the top and 75 below it. Anyone know what this might be? I found it at an 1883 house the other day ... image.webpimage.webp

I'm guessing it's a scrip token from a local store or company. Possibly late 1800's based on the intertwined initials.

In what state and county was it found?
