Not sure about what you have there, but I know that Maderia makes industrial sewing machines, the kind you'd find in a custom embroidery shop.

It looks like it test computer chips or something to that effect.

Like a bread boarding machine. It should have a maker and model number on it.

No Maker, no model #. It is screwed inside this case.

Apparently Maderia makes a lot more than just sewing machines. I'm lookin' for ya, though! :icon_thumleft:

Some form of oscillating frequency synthesizer. There are a great many applications, from music to radio (and older tv applications).

A model number and manufacturer information should bring it right up.

used to make cigarette pack size versions for guitar pedal guts

open the chassis for details inside

I believe it's something called an "electronic tester box," though I can't yet find a picture of that exact device.

Yes, you can use them for checking capacitors but this looks more like a unit to modify frequencies.

Yep, a portable breadboard system with power supply, clock generator, binary input and output and maybe some other stuff, the pic is too small.. I would guess maybe 80s? But still could be useful to someone who does electronics.

it appears to be a testing board for amplitude calibration and measurement. If you look at the second knob from the bottom on the left, it says amplitude.
it should have a plug in somewhere, to plug in a oscilloscope so you can see the height and length of
the electronic device being tested

No plug, all you see is all there is.

Re: It's Not Old, But What Is IT?

I contacted a buddy of mine and as far as he could tell from the description, it may be
a video/audio test generator for black and white TV's

It's a protoboard. I've used these exact things, newer model, but its THE SAME THING!
The rows of holes are where ciruitry units plug in and the dials and outlets are to control the electricity being sent through the unit components. These are used to test circuitry before you soder the components together (to make sure they work in the order that they are set)
Your protoboard can likly generate it's own electricity (pluged in of course) without an outside unit.

This picture is an example of a newer modle with less knobs, simpler.
This one requires an outside power source.

Thanks a million!

I aquired this, it's not new, but what is it? On the outside of the case it says Madeira.

7 years later................its an electronics experimenter kit..............I have a few of them, I use them for designing circuits.
built in power supply, generator etc.
