Hi all just wanted to say hi and that I intend to start contributing to this great forum once again. Like most people that detect I guess from time to time It seems to lose it appeal but hey its in the blood.
Ahh the roman bit I hear you ask two sites one was a Victorian tennis court that roman gold was found when it was being constructed in 1897. Then about 2.3 miles in a straight line 20yrs ago about more roman gold found never declared cataloged or treasured troved just dug up by the locals and taken away good or bad I will let you decide.
I think there is more gold out there but Im hesitant to post co-ords or even general locations for the obvious reasons I know the Romans had a thing for straight lines but does this include burial for gold.
any one with experience or even best guess please contribute
Best Wishes MM
