I'VE GOT MY EYE ON A BUTTON

Checked out a place I thought might of been an old house spot in the woods.I was right about it,found my very first Confederate solid cast block i" infantry button.I was grinning from ear to ear.Boy those are a heavy little booger. Also found a great seal button, seems like here lately I've been finding several of those.several horse and mule shoes not pictured. The 1916 wheat penny is the thinnest one I've ever found at a small .031 thousandths thick and 1952 silver dime.THANKS FOR LOOKING.....

Thanks.was yours intact and all.

I also found a match safe a few years back in Cape Cod. It was missing the lid, but had a nice hunting scene with a dog engraved on the front of it. I was going to post that I thought what you'd found was a match safe, but fishstick beat me to it! :icon_thumright:

Nice finds there John Boy - Awsome button - Is that part of an old harmonica reed there as well? - WTG and HH

Awesome button!!

Absolutley Awsome!

A solid cast Block I is at the top of my list of buttons I would love to dig, and they just don't come in much better shape than the one you dug.

I think I would sleep at least one night with it taped to my forehead!
