i've heard some saddening news the 1270 won't be made any longer!

the last of the 1200 series is coming to an end, the 1270 will no longer be produced, not exactly sure when the cut off date will be but got the info through another member from another forum, so if you always wanted one i guess you better get it because they are very deep seeking machine and i think one of the best relic hunting machines out there.

Yep ... detectors that require any hand assembly is getting too expensive to make.
Automated machines stamping out the modern styles for max profit is the trend now.
If it aint got a VDI meter and microprocessor controlled menu ... Fisher wont be making it.

Progress is a good thing ... but only if you know what a "good thing" is to start with.

Personalty, I think NASA Tom and Troy need to hook up and make something good!

That is sad. Today we get less for more money. Love my CZ-21 and hope it sticks around for awile.
