I've just started using a Rydale ... !!!

Hey CRH brothers and sisters !, My girlfriend was given a Rydale recently , and I would like
to report - that based on my newbie experiences with it , I am very impressed . This little
robot works really well - we have only gone thru 2 boxes of pennies - but it sorted them
flawlessly (no- i'm not an employee of the Rydale co. ) They retail for @ $500. bucks which
I think is kinda high, I would like to know if there are alternatives out there for less money.
You veterans please chime in here ! Thanks , Argentium.

love my ryedale.

yes you can home build it for less if you have the "knack" and are inclined, but i view my purchase as a business decision to save time!

they claim 18000 per hour, i've clocked over 19!

I've said it before. I would rather keep my Ryedale than my WHite's M.D. It's just that good.

Yes there are cheaper models out there, but I think the Ryedale is the best one and worth every penny. And in less than two months it paid for itself with some pennies i sold at 1.6 cents per penny. :-)

How was she given one? That would be nice to have one, but they are so expensive.

mws_1984 , She was given the Ryedale by an uncle - he heard that she was interested in
CRH-ing . I really want one now ! (though it is fun sorting coins with her !)

Andy (Ryedale coin) now makes a machine that called the Penny Mizer that is fairly similar to the Ryedale Apprentice. Andy is selling them on eBay for $349. I have one, and I am very happy with it. Here is the ebay link to the Ryedale Penny Mizer in case anyone is interested.

I'm very surprised that he chose to call it the Penny Mizer. There's been a device out there called Penny Miser (http://www.jmdaniel.com/). It seems like an invitation for confusion to choose a name that is so similar to one already used by a useless toy.

I have the utmost respect for the Ryedale devices, the cost is what's hard to get past. This product seems to help a lot in addressing that objection. No More Excuses People - Cull Those Brass Cents!
