Hello,

I found this bottle about 25 years ago in Odenton, MD with my dad. They were clearing some land near his work to make way for a new parking lot. One of the guys clearing the land mentioned he was digging\crushing a lot of "old looking" bottles. My dad, and I spent the next 4 days searching, and digging the site. We found many old bottles including a bunch of cobalt blue bromo seltzer bottles. This bottle I haven't been able to find much information on. It is embossed with:

J.B. Coolahan
REGISTERED
ANNAPOLIS, MD

There was only this info found during a google search:

http://books.google.com/books?id=9e...&hl=en&sa=X&oi=book_result&resnum=1&ct=result

If anyone has more information, that would be GREAT!

Thanks!
~Chris

Hey Cj, that would be a hutchinson soda bottle. I've looked for a while and can't find any particulars on your bottle. There were thousands upon thousands of these bottle made, alot of them with town names. You might email this fellow. He may be able to help. Not much info, but in 1873 J. B. Coolahan established a brewery and bottlery on West Street in Annapolis, MD. The firm remained in business until at least 1910.
