ok so I stopped last night at this old farm house to ask permission to hunt, two older ladies were nice and gave me permission, brought hem an apple pie after I got out of work, spent about 2 hours hunting before I realized that the house was moved there from a different location, in the fifties she later told me. I did manage a couple of keepers anyway, 2 old buttons (the nicer one, she asked to keep) half of a crotal bell ( cool horse imprint) and a 43 merc right at the end. I think the flat button is an old one, but civilian I think. doesnt appear to have a design on the front and has 'scovills' 'treble gilt' on the back. anyone button specialists in the michigan forum? thanks for looking, HH all

oh yeah, the back of the spoon says J B TIMBERLAKE....could it be? boy band spoon

Glad you got out. You never know about those farmhouses; ya still found a couple good finds, Thousands of old properties out there to hunt, everytime you ask for permission you become more confident in doing so....good luck out there! FFD

Sell the boy band spoon on ebay! make a mint. It is very neat though. Love that merc.
