Hello all,,,
Me and a buddy of mine hit a few local parks, and a few old lots, were they had torn down some houses. The first park we went to looked as though it had been bulldozed pretty good, but we were finding some clad on the surface, so we stuck around for a few. I finally hit, what looked like some older dirt, and found a nice pendant with Jesus on the front. It's measures, 1" x 3/4" and is fairly heavy for it's size. It's marked on the back with, "Chapel Sterling".

We were just talking the other day about how we hardly ever found any religious items. I guess you just have to ask, and you shall receive... ;D

After hunting there a while longer, we decided to head to some house lots. We didn't have much luck at them, so we headed to another local park that has been hit pretty hard in the past. I scoped out a spot I hadn't been over yet and just about laid my coil on the 1944/D Mercury Dime...

My buddy didn't fair as well as I did, although he did find a neat old aluminum trade token and quite a bit of clad. All in all, it was a great day, and it was good to finally find something worth posting again...

Hope ya all have had some luck.
Have a great day, Leon...

great items... awesome pendant !!! ya gotta be happy with that pair...

Very interesting pendant. Nice find. For the record, I'm going to start talking about how I never find colonial silver coins. I hope your theory of ask and you shall receive holds true Leon.

Great finds!! I absolutely love the Jesus medal. Check out my avatar- I found that- three years ago, on, believe it or not, Good Friday. I always feel when you find something like that, you know you're being watched over.

Congrats and continued success!

Beautiful pendant. It looks pretty old. Those Mercs always bring a smile too!

Thanks Gang....
And Thank you for the link Ashleen, very interesting...
The one they show there, according to their measurements, is a 1/4 larger than this one, but it's nice to see they're calling it a vintahge piece.
