Jew's Harp? -looks correct then again MAYBE NOT!!!

Found off a trade/contact site SW Ontario--have hunted this area for years. Farm house early 1800's.

Found many trade items-- axes--kettle items-- awls and beads etc. but never a Jew's Harp.

Looks like the real deal yet circular area is FLAT rather than rounded.

In far corner near stream have found more nails and even door /hinge parts. Early structure from farming.

TRADE ITEM?? or OUT OF SHED?? or WHAT IS IT??

I don't think its a harp, but I may be wrong. Here is a picture of two I have and you can see the difference. They don't come together like yours witch leaves room for the reed, or what ever it is called. Also if you blow up picture you can see that the metal is four sided and not flat. Not sure what you have. Post on what is it. Maybe someone will know.

My gut feeling is not a harp....but they made a million different styles for a very very long time so I could be wrong. I've only found 2. Here's the nicer of the 2. Let us know what you find out. I'm curious
