I walked down to the park at about 8AM with my V3i with the intentions of trying the MXT program from the library on it but it's not near the same as my MXT so I put it back in coin/jewelry mode and shortly after I dug the war nickel, then after finding a little clad I decided I'd try the deep silver program, I balanced it and took no more than a couple steps and bang I had an excellent reading that said 9 inches so I dug a big flap with about a 6 inch clod attached and it was still down there, 2 more scoops and out popped the sterling ring. I've hammered this park for many years and it was in an area I've hunted many times before but never picked it up. It wasn't long after that the battery pack went dead so I headed home for the charger. The V3i uses battery power fast but on the deep silver program it really hogs the battery big time.
