Went out with my buddy GoldSniffinDog after work today, I dug a couple bucks in clad, this Mormon sterling CTR (choose the righteous) ring & the coolest lil' ring.........it is a Junior Fire Marshal ring. It says Hartford Fire Insurance on the band(that explains the elk), I guess they were handed out to kids many years ago. It was about 8-10 inches deep & smashed almost flat, it is ring number 33 in eleven months! Im on a wicked roll, eh boys? ;) It is a cheap brass ring but one of my favorite finds so far. My buddy scored a nice silver '56 Washington quarter tonight & found a sweet "Smoky" cap pistol in great condition in his yard last night.........Im trying to get him to post pics of them, maybe tomorrow.

Wow, now that ring brought back some memories. I found a Fire Marshal Badge from 1956 just like your ring. I am including a picture of it. Great find and it sure is a keeper!

Thanks for posting your story and pictures.

HH and remember, keep the coil to the soil, Ringfinder
