Paid eight dollars for this piece. Found in a junk box with some other foreign coins. I could be wrong, but the portrait looks like a augustus to me. What do you guys think? The reverse contains a wreath, and with in the wreath are two words. They appear to read Divos/vlivs.
I should mention, at the coin is about the size of the United States half-dollar. It's also very thick and very heavy.
I'm not too familiar with ancient coins, but would you assume this is worth more than eight dollars? Can you confirm what type of coin this is?
Thanks
