I subscribe to the theory that Solomon (wisest man to ever live) came up with the treasure codes that have been copied by many different groups throughout the last 3000 years or so. He had access to the writings of Moses which placed a correlation between direction (N,S,E,W) and certain symbols, it went like this:
Man = south
Lion = east
Ox = west
Eagles = north
Could the profiles and carving of these symbols that we see on the trails be giving us direction based on this ancient teaching?
Just a thought.
