Just begun Detecting

Hey all I live in the Overlea area and would love to go out and detect. I need more practice than anything and would love for someone to be able to hhelp at least guide me to areas to start at. Thanks

If you can't find a hunting buddy. One good way to practice is in your yard or a public park. Good luck.

Yeah i have done my yard and i have a park behind my house, so that has been my bread and butter so far. I was just wondering where else should i try out and if there is anybody in my area that could tellme some places to try.

my best finds, as far as old stuff, was in Patterson park, I haven't been there in quite a few years, but would love to try it again, the neighbor has changed somewhat over the years but a group of people shouldn't have any problems

Thank you very much, I am free usually any weekend. I am a teacher so when it stays light longer I would be able to do more detecting. How do I go about getting a permit for Baltimore City is that still through parks and Rec?
