Mostly where I've found things this winter.
 

Bottle caps are pretty common on my area beaches, nearly as common as pull tabs sometimes.

We all try to put 2 and 2 together as to why gold is found where it is. Never works.... aint no short cuts.

For some reason, if I make a good find! I calm down and always seem to find more! I frequently hunt older sites which are really not used any more for swimming , so it's not like I'm getting lucky with fresh drops, although that holds true for fresh stuff too, it's finding the 1st one that's tricky!
 

I think the only sure shortcut is erosion, lets you access some of those denser layers that you otherwise can't.
 

Where ever there is human activity ! if you are not finding junk you will not find gold.
