was messing with settings on my Legend that has 1.11 installed, was going to adjust the IF and ST a bit but both those features had completely disappeared

and before anyone ask I was in Park mode Multi 1, I know the IF,ST and BC are only available when in multi frequency so do not ask if I was in SF (single Frequency) mode the GS is available in all SF (single Frequency) modes including the Multi Frequency Modes, the very first thing I checked was to make sure I was not in a SF mode, which again I was not

Like I said I was making some adjustments while in Park mode M1 the IF,ST,BC and GS were all there and then with out doing anything the IF,ST,And BC was just gone, I literally had to do a factory default reset to get those three features back in the settings

Has anyone else had this happen to their Legend, I also posted this up on the Facebook Knowledge based group, and it seems this is not as uncommon as it seems and I had a few, quite a few in fact say it had happened to them also.

I had never seen this and have never heard or read anything about this happening to anyone

Has anyone else seen this happen, just curious

At least you were able to get it back with FD. I think that problems like this are going to happen occasionally with software-based detectors. If this is more widespread they might have to do another update just to stabilize the software. They did make a lot of changes in only a year. Hopefully, it's not an ongoing problem.

I have seen a ton of issues with one of my Legends and this particular legend that I had this happen on had never had one issue at all until this, its working good rite now but I will have to keep an eye on it

Sorry to hear about the trouble oldkoot.
Can I ask you how many firmware updates the legend had?
Mine came loaded with 1.07 and I immediately updated to 1.11, but I know there were several updates that came out,and that always made me wander if there could be a bug in between those updates.
And was this the first time you had gone to adjust (IF) and (ST)?
Knowing you said that (IF)(ST)(BC), and (GS) were just gone that makes me think it was something that happened going from the previous firmware to 1.11.

Well my First Legend was 1.04 originally and I did each and every update that was released to us including all three Beta Test versions so that would have been 1.05,1.06,1.07,1.08,1.09,1.10 Beta test version 1,2, and 3 and then 1.11 which I reverted back to 1.09, (this one has always been a problem child when updating) an I have seen just about every issue you can think of with this one the only issue I have not experienced with this one is Speaker failure (Knock on wood)

My second Legend was 1.05 and the dealer I purchased it from updated it to 1.07 then I updated to 1.09 and 1.11 never ran the problem updates on this one the problem updates were 1.06, and 1.08, I also never tested any of the three Beta test versions on this one, and I had never had one issue what so ever with this one until what happened just recently which is what I posted about.

just seen another Legend user that replied to my post on Facebook that just yesterday experienced what I posted about.

like I said this seems to be a more widespread issue than we know but those that have experienced it have never posted anything up about it, my post on the Facebook page (Nokta Legend Knowledge based) group was the first and only time I have ever seen anything said about this issue, and when I posted it up several Legend users replied that they had it happen to them, which is what shocked me and the whole time I was thinking to myself here it comes after I posted it up, but no there were several that stated they had the same thing happen

to answer your question this was not the first time I had adjusted those features, but this is the first time they just disappeared from the settings, like I said it was strange, I actually adjust those settings almost every time I go out to detect but I do it on the fly when I am working the ground I detect because I never know what the ground is going to be giving me.

Thanks for the info oldkoot.
Its starting to sound like V1.11 might be a problem update as well.
Changing settings on the fly is the best for me to which leads me to wander or at least conclude I'll not be keeping any user preset profiles on my Legend.
I'll mess around with those filters on mine and see if the same thing happens to me.

Luckily I have a great memory of how I set things up and also helps, to jot down settings in a small tablet that I carry with me, and when you have two legends basically set up the same, the Legend that lost the features has 1.11 on it and my second Legend has 1.09 in it, 1.09 just has a couple of less features then 1.11 so it was not really a problem, this time.
