Wonderful! Thanks for the views of what looks to me like a very interesting area to explore. I was recently told I will possibly taking up business in New Mexico again. If that is so, I will certainly be enjoying my trips there to the old southwest and the culture that one finds in the land of enchantment

I only have this bounty hunter tracker IV, but it does find things of metal. The miner's I used to deal with in Questa NM., told me of a place west of Taos, were the Spanish had used a ferry to get across the Rio Grande and old things have been found at that location. The miner's of that region have family roots that go back a couple centuries, so stories were pasts down. They all loved to talk about the lost treasure stories they had heard from their ancestors as we worked. One was of a road grader leveling one of the many miles of gravel roads in the immense upper Rio Grande valley. The grater operator saw something kicked up into the burm off the tip of his blade and it turned out to be an old bar of silver. An other story I heard was during the Pueblo revolt a Priest had stashed all the mission silver before he left the area, so not to be killed. He never returned after things finally settled down and the missions holy silver is still yet to be recovered somewhere. The silver items were produced from the silver mines that once operated at Magdalena NM it was said.

What a great stories, I love them, old people is always saying good treasures stories. When we visited old towns I likes to hear them, is magic.
